Export Table
If user-friendly documentation of an ERPWorks import run is required, the user can generate an Excel spreadsheet of the main table. Values from SolidWorks and the ERP system are on the spreadsheet. The old values are from the ERP system, and the new values are the ones from SolidWorks, since the ERPWorks information flow is always from the designers and engineers to the ERP system.
To create the spreadsheet, click the Export Table button. The suggested filename is erpworks-[Parent Item ID]-[date and time stamp].xlsx
. Select the location of the export file, then click Save.
It is possible to use the Export Table button after the importing the data to the ERP system, but if an export table is to be useful, it should be performed during the same run of ERPWorks as the import. Do not click Import, exit ERPWorks, re-open ERPWorks and export the table. The bill of materials in the ERP system would then be updated, the alterations would already have been made, and “Export Table” at that time would show no pending changes.
